Description:
The Watershed Project was the 2nd project that we did in 10th Grade Chemistry. This project was also the Exhibition project. In this project we learned about the Escondidio Creek watershed. A watershed is a piece of land the drains to a central point. I was a part of the Elfin Forest team, a team whos purpose was to create an exhibit to be dislpayed by a local creek in Elfin Forest. My group made a poster detailing the process that sveral chemicals take while getting into Elfin Forest Creek. Below is a picture of the poster we created, and a link to most of the information that is present on the poster.

This semester I have learned a lot in Chemistry. I had no prior knowlage of anything we learned in this class before Chemistry class this year, and now I feel like I know lots and lots about Chemistry. This semerster I have grown an apperication for nature. At the begginging I saw nature as a thing that exists outside, and it was not too interesting. But now I see nature as an interesting, beautiful, and complex thing. I feel that this year, I have grown a lot, paticurally in my notetaking skills. In other classes I feel that I didn't really need to take notes becuase I could undderstand everything without needing notes, however Chemistry was a differnt story. Becuase Chemistry was a subject that I didn't know anything about, I think I would have failed some of the quizzes if I didn't take notes. This will be very useful for other classes that that I have no background knowlage of, such as Biology. I have also grown this year in my study habits. We had many quizzes this year and becuase I knew very little about Chemistry, I had to constantly review my notes to be sure I was prepared for the quizzes, witch I didn't do for many other classes. Overall I feel that this has been a great semester with tons of growth and learning.
